These are interesting beings that are difficult to define. They are guardians and protector beings but unique in that they guard churches, religious centers, and graveyards. Basically anywhere that ground is deemed “holy” they are the guardians of that land. This is not limited to a specific religion either. Any holy religious place can have a kyrkogrim.
Being deeply connected to the dead they are guardians not only of the land but between realms. They can increase spirit communication, assist with necromancy, and bring “the dead” to visit if asked to. If you engage in spiritual activities like meditation, necromancy, divination, or energy work of any kind they can be of assistance.
If you are their keeper they will also guard and protect your home as it is sacred to you.

Most of them can appear in many forms. Animals of all kinds are common but they often appear as black dogs. They can also appear as small black humanoids or even just wispy smoke. That’s why I said they are hard to define. Their appearances and their abilities can vary a bit.
This Kyrkogrim is a female who changes shape often and even looks like all sorts of black animals from time to time, especially dogs and horses. She often also appears as just smoke or mist. Her animal forms usually have purple eyes.
She is confident and interactive with a bit of creepy energy.
Her nature is grey.
