Pixiu are interesting creatures, they are a flying creature looking much like a winged lion. This makes them similar in appearance to griffins but the Pixiu also have horns and their face is more like a Chinese dragon.
These beings are great protectors against evil spirits and against black magick. For this reason, many spiritual practitioners in China have Pixiu aid them in their work.
They are also employed specifically to draw in money. You can think of Pixiu as money magnets literally pulling money toward them and their keepers.
There are actually two types of Pixiu. One type has one horn and they specialize more in the money drawing aspect. These are called Tian Lu. The second kind has 2 horns.
